our Marrakech desert tour start in the morning and we will Pick up at the riad at 8:00/9:00 and start of our adventure . Departure from Marrakech via the Col Tichka pass, where we will cross the Atlas mountains making stops to enjoy the magnificent views that the route offers us. Optional visit to a small cooperative of women who process argan oil, where you can learn how this precious product is obtained, as well as all the variety of culinary and beauty products that the argan fruit provides. We will continue on our way to Ouarzazate to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site, free time to walk through its streets and climb to the top to contemplate the beautiful views of the valley, and in Ouarzazate you can visit, if you are interested , the film studios where many famous Hollywood films have been shot. Then we will find the town of Skoura, located in the heart of the valley of palm trees. There you can take a walk through the extensive and labyrinthine oasis, whose lush vegetation wraps precious secret kasbahs and you can also visit its kasbah of Amerdil, where you can see how it was once lived in the kasbahs. From here we will continue through the Valley of Roses (famous for the cultivation of them) to the impressive gorges of Dades. Dinner and overnight in a beautiful hotel on the mountain next to the river Dades.
After breakfast, we will continue along the bank of Boumalne, where a road marked by kasbahs (fortresses or castles) and ksour (fortified citadels), whose landscape is ocher, red and mauve, opens. Around us we will find stony plateaus where the camels graze. After a journey full of ksour, oasis and palm trees .We will arrive at Tineghir (where the spectacular gorges of Todra are) perched at 1,350 m altitude and surrounded by a palm grove. Free time to walk through the gorges and through the orchard and the palm grove. We continue to Erfoud (city of fossils), where we can see the quarries where they are extracted and know how they are worked then to give them the most varied forms and uses. Then we will pass by Rissani and finally ,arrival at Merzouga, in front of the high dunes of Erg Chebbi take some rest and enjoy a free time in merzouga have some drink Tea. In the afternoon the camels will wait for us to enter the desert and contemplate an unforgettable sunset. The night will be special, as you will have the opportunity to sleep in a tents surrounded by dunes, as the Berbers do. You will also enjoy a traditional dinner, and after the live drum music next to the bonfire and if there is luck, a starry sky. Dinner & Breakfast.
Today will be a special day, we recommend enjoying a sunrise in the desert, so this day we will get up early. After contemplating the sunrise, return to the camp for breakfast, and then we return by camel to the Merzouga while we take some rest ,we prepare to live an unforgettable adventure !!!We start the journey northwards crossing the Palmeral de Tafilalet, where we can see in 20km a lot of palm trees, which makes it one of the largest palm groves in the world. Crossing it we will arrive to the Valley of Ziz, name that receives of the river that descends of the High Atlas and that feeds to the palm grove. Here we will stop to observe the Valley from above and see the village of Aoufous.
We make Stop in Midelt, right in the heart of the atlas, to rest for a while and have lunch(Not included). In the afternoon we will continue our journey through the Cedar Forest where, if we are lucky, we can find some monkeys, still going through Ifrane, located on the north-western slope of the Middle Atlas, at 1,630 meters above sea level. The spaciousness of its avenues, its urban development, its impeccable state of cleanliness, its gardens and green areas and above all its architecture, more typical of an alpine city, makes Ifrane feel out of place inside Morocco and the nickname of (the Moroccan Switzerland) where is the ski slope Michlifen, one of the most important tracks of the world. At the end of the day arrival to Fez the cultural capital of Morocco.Transfer to the accommodation and free time.
After breakfast at the Riad, we will begin to explore the spiritual capital of the country and our oldest city, Fez. As you immerse yourself in its lively souks, entanglements of photogenic alleyways and historical monuments, we will first pass through the door of the Royal Palace, which gives a peaceful welcome between the new Fez and the old. Then, the Jewish headquarters and the first Mellah never built in Morocco. Then we will start visiting all sites with cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the tanneries and the Attarine museum. After lunch, we will head to the best area to stay in Fez (Fes el Bali), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its narrow streets and historical monuments such as Medersa Bou Inania and Babb Boujloud (the main gate of the Medina), it is such an exotic place that we can get to move to a bygone era. For shoppers, Fes el Bali is a local craft paradise with colorful Moroccan slippers, works in leather, metal, rainbow glass lamps and tiles that are displayed in stalls throughout the district. In the afternoon we departure in the direction to Casablanca,we will take the highway until arriving at Casablanca, the economic capital of the country. Upon arrival we can make a short tour “if time is allowed” to visit the outside of the Mosque of Hassan II, the 2nd largest in the world (Optionally you can visit the interior of it), and the Boulevard of the Corniche, the Park of the Nationes and the square of Mohamed V.
